- Start Date: April 19, 2026
- End Date: July 18, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Openings: 2 PACU RN positions available
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 50% day/night rotation, up to 2 weekend shifts per month
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130–$2250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Active RN license (license/certificate verification required at submission)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including perioperative or acute care settings
- At least 1 year of travel PACU experience as a PACU RN or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit nurse
- At least 1 year of experience working in an academic medical center (preferred for Boston medical district roles)
- Able to work both day and night shifts and up to 2 weekend shifts per month
- Submission of resume, references, and skills checklist required
- Completion of all onboarding requirements, including background checks and health screenings
- Provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia and postoperative care to patients recovering from surgery and procedures in the PACU
- Perform rapid assessments and continuous monitoring of airway, hemodynamics, pain management, and neurologic status
- Recognize and respond to postoperative complications and escalate care to anesthesia and surgical teams as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders, and manage PACU-specific equipment
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgical, and perioperative teams to ensure smooth patient handoffs and continuity of care
- Provide clear patient and family education on recovery expectations, discharge planning, and follow-up instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with institutional standards
- Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and PACU workflow standards in a fast-paced perioperative environment
