Key Job Details- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 — Level 1 Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
- Setting: Operating Room (OR), 17-room OR suite staffed 24/7
- Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, Day/Night rotation (7am or 7pm start times)
- Schedule: Every 3rd weekend as needed, every other holiday, 1 call shift per schedule period
- Floating: May float to Moakley OR as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,290 - $2,410/week
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
- Scrub experience preferred
- Competency in at least 5 of the following services: general, gynecology, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, spine
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care (pre-op, intra-op, post-op) in a busy surgical environment
- Circulate and/or scrub for a wide variety of surgical specialties, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
- Participate in day/night rotations, weekend and holiday coverage, and scheduled on-call shifts
- Float to other OR units as needed, including Moakley OR
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Demonstrate adaptability and calm decision-making in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center
- Gain perioperative and Level 1 trauma experience at a leading Boston medical center
- Work in a large, 24/7 OR suite with diverse surgical caseloads—ideal for surgical nurses and OR RNs
