Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Medical ICU position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma facility in Boston, requiring at least 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience including ventilator management and inotropy.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Pediatric Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care facility
- Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center with a NICU Level III/IV
- 485 total staffed beds
- Patient population consists of critically ill pediatric medical patients requiring ventilator management and inotropy
- Schedule is straight nights or straight days with a larger weekend commitment
- Every other weekend is required
- Shift: nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope of practice required; potential float units include CICU, MSICU, and NICU
- Charting is done in Epic
- Discounted parking available for day and evening shifts; free parking for night shift with shuttle service to offsite lots
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but are subject to a pay rate differential
- Scrub color: any solid color accepted on all units
- 13-week contract
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required, including ventilator management and inotropy
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
