Overview
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Boston, MA, currently seeking an experienced LPN to assist on a full-time basis.
Position Details- Location:
Boston, MA - Duration: 13 weeks to start, with likelihood of extension
- Facility Type:
Correctional Facility - Schedule:
Mon–Fri and every other weekend, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM - Pay:
Local: $48/hr
Travel: $2,150 gross/week
- General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment
- Assist physicians with medical treatments
- Administer prescribed medications
- Apply surgical dressings and bandages
- Provide emergency first aid care
- Check and record vital signs
- Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing
- Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in emotional or physical condition
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Accurately document all care information in a timely manner
- Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure professional, ethical treatment of inmates
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare required
- Current CPR certification
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
- Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
