Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: 36 Hours (Nights / Every Third Weekend / Holiday Rotation)

Position Summary

As a Labor and Delivery nurse you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in the patient setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Nursing degree:
  Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation)
• Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advanced Certification required within 8 weeks of hire
• 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Fluency in another language is a plus

$39.02 - $90.05

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and considers education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to the position requirements.
