The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program at Boston Medical Center assists newly licensed nurses in the transition to practice. The program reduces turnover and improves critical thinking, clinical decision‑making, patient outcomes, and nurse satisfaction.
Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum. The registered nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient‑care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and following established policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice. The position reports to the Unit Nurse Director.

- Graduated from nursing school within 12 months prior to hire.
- Active BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Flu vaccine required prior to start.
- Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing.
Compensation Range: $38.05 – $75.33 per hour.
