As a School-based Registered Nurse RN you will play a vital role in supporting student health, safety, and academic> success within a school setting. This full-time School Nurse RN position allows experienced nurses to apply their clinical expertise, compassion, and dedication to preventative care while working directly with children and families in the local community. In this role, you will help create a safe and healthy learning environment by addressing daily health needs, managing chronic conditions, and responding to medical concerns with professionalism and care.
Your background as a School Nurse RN will directly support student attendance, wellness, and readiness to learn while strengthening partnerships with educators, families, and support staff. - Active Louisiana Registered Nurse RN license in good standing
- Associate Degree in Nursing ASN or Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN from an accredited program
- Previous nursing experience preferred, including school nursing, pediatric, or community health experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, with ability to meet state and district health requirements
- Provide daily nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for illness or injury
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions according to physician orders and district protocols
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district health regulations
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare
NBA providers to support student wellness and safety - Promote health education, preventative care, and emergency preparedness within the school environment
- Weekly pay via Direct Deposit
- Premium pay rates of $28 - $38+ per hour based on experience, education, certifications, and district budget
