Full‑time position – 36 hours per week, day/night rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred experience: 1 year of RN experience.
Unit OverviewPhillips House 20 is a twenty‑bed adult medical unit located in the Ellison Building. The unit delivers high‑quality patient care focused on individualized needs for patients with acute medical illnesses and chronic diseases. Staff are highly regarded by physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues for their clinical expertise and compassionate care.
Job SummaryAccountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients’ clinical decision‑making regarding nursing care, ensuring safe and competent nursing care, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
Essential Functions- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
Education: Associate’s Degree Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing preferred. No experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse, Massachusetts.
Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0–1 year required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Familiarity with practical nursing principles and skills for patient care and treatment.
- Knowledge of the care required by respective age groups.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Pay Range: $41.72 – $105.65 per hour
