Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR position in Massachusetts requiring an active MA RN license and cardiac surgery expertise.

Job Details

• Work in an operating room setting specializing in cardiac surgery and cardiac transplant surgery, with exposure to open vascular, endovascular, thoracic, thoracic robotics, and general surgery cases,

• Shifts include four 10-hour shifts (6:45 a.m.

- 5:15 p.m., with rotation to 9:00 a.m.

- 7:30 p.m.) or five 8-hour shifts (6:45 a.m.

- 3:15 p.m., with rotation to 11:00 a.m.

- 7:30 p.m.),

• Weekend call required one weekend per month (Friday 7:00 p.m.

- Monday 7:00 a.m.) with 30-minute response time when on call,

• One short call shift per week and one night per week CVI call (7:00 p.m.

- 7:00 a.m.) for cardiac or endovascular emergencies,

• Eligible to work holidays while on contract,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required,

• 1-3 years of recent OR nursing experience required,

• Minimum one year of OR RN experience required,

• Ability to circulate required; scrub experience preferred but not mandatory,

• COVID vaccine and booster, as well as Flu vaccine, are required (medical exemptions allowed),

• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers accepted),

• Must not have been employed at the health system within the past six months,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating, with preference for those who can also scrub in cardiac and vascular cases,

• Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes while on call,

• Must pass Telemetry/ECG and Medication Tests if assigned to specific campuses,

• Weekly orientation offered every Monday (excluding holidays),

• First day testing and modules may be required,

• Scrub attire requirement applies,

• Requested time off must be submitted with the initial request,
