MDS OBRA Coordinator Nurse

Summary

The MDS OBRA Coordinator Nurse is directly responsible for coordinating and completing resident assessment processes, ensuring appropriate clinical reimbursement and documentation.

Sign‑On Bonus

Up to $6,000 for a full‑time RN or $3,000 for an LPN.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Licensed nurse in Massachusetts; RN preferred.
  • Minimum two years of MDS experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) required.
  • RAC‑CT certification preferred.
  • Medicaid CMI experience highly preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Promote capturing of appropriate clinical reimbursement while ensuring revenue integrity.
  • Determine skilled level of care for Medicare/Medicare Advantage residents, procure required documentation, and secure physician certification of skilled level.
  • Collaborate with physicians to obtain accurate documentation supporting ICD‑10‑CM diagnosis coding.
  • Audit and improve staff education and competency to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
