Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position in Massachusetts requiring a current MA license, advanced cardiac certifications, and strong telemetry skills.

• Work in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes critically ill adults requiring intensive care and telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Telemetry rhythm strip interpretation required
• Uses computerized patient record systems
• Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, and intervention for critically ill ICU patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document care and interpret computerized data and patient information
• Involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the unit
• Scrub attire details not specified; inquire during onboarding
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

• Active MA RN license at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Telemetry experience and ability to independently interpret rhythm strips required
• Minimum 18 months of ICU experience in a trauma setting required
• Diploma, ASN or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or
  
  B) with only two attempts permitted
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to perform job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager, with at least one reference within the past 12 months
