Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with telemetry and Level 1 trauma hospital experience for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU in a hospital setting
- Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Care for critically ill adults in a Level 1 trauma environment
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm strip interpretation required
- Provide comprehensive care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of ICU patients
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team
- Expectation to coordinate and delegate care activities effectively
- Responsibility to update and manage patient records using computerized systems
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives may be required
- Two professional references are required, one must be from a manager and include performance evaluation
- One reference must be from the past 12 months; the other within 3 years
- Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Monthly parking fees may apply
- Active and current MA RN license
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Diploma, ASN, or BSN in nursing (BSN preferred)
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to fulfill job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must complete and pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
