Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with telemetry and Level 1 trauma hospital experience for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license.

• Work in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU in a hospital setting
• Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Care for critically ill adults in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm strip interpretation required
• Provide comprehensive care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of ICU patients
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team
• Expectation to coordinate and delegate care activities effectively
• Responsibility to update and manage patient records using computerized systems
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives may be required
• Two professional references are required, one must be from a manager and include performance evaluation
• One reference must be from the past 12 months; the other within 3 years
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Monthly parking fees may apply

• Active and current MA RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience
• Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Diploma, ASN, or BSN in nursing (BSN preferred)
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to fulfill job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Must complete and pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
