Registered Nurse, Pediatrics Nights, E​/O Weekend

Registered Nurse, Pediatrics — 40 Hours (Nights, E/O Weekend & Holiday)

Pediatrics (Inpatient General Pediatric Unit)

40 hours per week, primarily nights; evenings and weekends; holidays.

The Maternal Child Health/Mother Baby Department provides care for patients ages newborn to 23 years. Our multidisciplinary team embraces diversity, inclusion and offers an open and supportive environment.

• Deliver nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and education of patients.
• Communicate with health‑care team members, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data and information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects.

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• Preferred: 1+ year RN experience.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain units.
• Nursing degree:
  Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.
