Registered Nurse, Pediatrics — 40 Hours (Nights, E/O Weekend & Holiday)

LocationPediatrics (Inpatient General Pediatric Unit)
Schedule40 hours per week, primarily nights; evenings and weekends; holidays.
About the DepartmentThe Maternal Child Health/Mother Baby Department provides care for patients ages newborn to 23 years. Our multidisciplinary team embraces diversity, inclusion and offers an open and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and education of patients.
- Communicate with health‑care team members, patients and families.
- Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records.
- Enter and interpret computerized data and information.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
- Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects.
- Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
- Preferred: 1+ year RN experience.
- Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS). - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain units.
- Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years. - Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language is a plus.
