North 7 is a 32-bed unit with Primary Service Lines:
Renal, Pulmonary and GI, with overflow of other medical/surgical services. Common complex medical case types with or without complex co-morbidities.

This role focuses on providing professional and nonprofessional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders. It includes performing clinical nurse duties: assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care needs of a designated group of patients or provides nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the scope of practice to achieve the patient’s plan of care. Requires a nursing license.
This is a professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower-level professionals or manage processes and programs. The role involves overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. This senior level role may manage projects/processes, coach and review work, and resolve difficult problems.
Overview
The professional registered nurse possesses the skills and knowledge necessary for delivery and management of patient care from admission through discharge. The nurse stays informed on healthcare trends, technology, pharmacology, treatment modalities, quality and patient safety. The nurse serves as patient and family advocate while fostering a collaborative environment among health care providers. They plan, deliver and manage patient/family-centered care using the nursing process and standards of nursing practice embedded in research, evidence-based practice and/or best practices.
The nurse provides clinical excellence to support a patient- and family-centered model of care.
