Role Description

This is a volunteer position for a Student Volunteer at Pump Avenue Foundation. The volunteer will assist with logistical and operational tasks, including organizing donated supplies, coordinating with recipients of medical equipment, and supporting outreach and awareness campaigns. Responsibilities also include researching healthcare needs, creating informational materials, and conducting eligibility interviews with potential patients.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage donation tracking, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for community outreach and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Research and writing skills to create informative content and analyze public health-related data.
  • A passion for healthcare equity and the ability to work well in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Pursuing or completed a degree in health sciences, public health, social work, or a relevant field is a plus.
  • Prior experience volunteering or working with nonprofit organizations is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to commit to an on-site schedule in Boston, MA for the duration of the volunteer term.
