Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually
The Leadership Giving Officer (LGO) plays a critical role in growing participation in the leadership annual giving level ($1,000-$9,999) through outreach and engagement. The LGO is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding existing and prospective donors. The LGO is responsible for $500,000 in revenue from Leadership Donors for the fiscal year and will track additional metrics including donor engagement and major donor prospects identified to grow the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as an ambassador for Catholic Charities and communicate clear and concise information about programs and initiatives across Eastern Massachusetts to prospective and current donors.
- Manage a portfolio of 100-150 leadership annual donors. Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors accordingly. When appropriate, transition major donor prospects to Advancement leadership.
- Identify and qualify new prospects, solicit prospects for increased leadership commitments. Produce analysis of personal solicitation effectiveness as well as prospect management activity.
- Prepare reports, briefing materials, correspondence, and related documents for prospective donors. Track correspondence and cultivation actions in Raiser’s Edge.
- Assist in the execution of agency events in support of development activities. Utilize events and other activities to deepen relationships.
- Establish relationships with donors to identify philanthropic motives and offer resources when appropriate in gift planning.
- Work is performed in an office environment with the use of general office equipment and will also include frequent local travel for donor meetings.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Attend meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Local travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years' experience working in development and fundraising.
- Proven success with prospect research and individual and personal gift solicitation.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management software required Raiser’s Edge experience is a plus.

- Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new software.
- Flexibility to work nonstandard hours including evenings and weekends to support events and seasonal demands.

The base pay range reflects what Catholic Charities reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation in this range may be determined based on other factors, including but not limited to work experience, education and specialty training.
