Senior Product Manager, Content Engagement

Department: Digital Product Management

Location: Boston, MA

America’s Test Kitchen (ATK) is seeking a customer‑focused Senior Product Manager, Content Engagement to lead the strategy and execution of how millions of home cooks engage with ATK’s digital content ecosystem, from recipes and video to equipment reviews and taste tests.

In this role, you will own key content engagement experiences across ATK’s web and app platforms, focusing on driving retention, repeat engagement, and member satisfaction. You’ll work closely with partners across Digital Content, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Data to deliver intuitive, inspiring, and highly useful experiences that support home cooks throughout their cooking journey.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives and making thoughtful tradeoffs to deliver outcomes for members and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the Content Engagement roadmap, identifying and prioritizing initiatives that deepen member engagement, increase retention, and support repeat usage across ATK’s digital platforms.
  • Lead high‑impact, high‑visibility product initiatives that support meal planning and cooking journeys, shaping how members engage with ATK’s content across recipes, reviews, taste tests, and video experiences.
  • Translate customer needs, behavioural insights, and business goals into clear product strategy, well‑scoped initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Digital Content, Marketing, and Data to shape solutions, align on priorities, and drive execution from discovery through delivery.
  • Drive discovery and experimentation efforts, including user research, concept validation, prototype testing, and iterative improvement.
  • Define success metrics and partner with analytics teams to monitor performance, evaluate impact, and inform ongoing prioritization and iteration.
  • Ensure high‑quality execution through clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and ongoing collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Work closely with peer Product Managers (e.g., Search & Discovery, Platforms, Classes, and Member Growth) to ensure a cohesive end‑to‑end experience across the ATK ecosystem.
  • Communicate product vision, progress, learnings, and results clearly to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Stay ahead of trends in digital media, storytelling, and video to identify new opportunities for innovation.
Skills & Qualifications Required
  • 6+ years of product management experience, including independent ownership of a core consumer‑facing digital product area or problem space.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong product judgment and comfort making prioritization and trade‑off decisions with limited oversight.
  • Experience building or optimizing content‑driven or engagement‑focused consumer‑facing experiences, ideally in media, publishing, or subscription‑based products.
  • Hands‑on experience delivering products across mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) and responsive web platforms, with a strong judgment around platform‑specific UX considerations.
  • Strong command of user experience design and content design principles, interaction patterns, and usability best practices across mobile and web.
  • Strong analytical mindset, experience with using data, experimentation, and user research to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non‑technical partners.
  • Experience working as the product lead within agile development teams, including leadership of team backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting retention‑focused initiatives or habitual product experiences.
  • Familiarity with CMS‑driven products and content workflows.
  • Experience working on subscription‑based digital products.
  • Passion for food, storytelling, and helping make cooking more approachable, joyful, and rewarding for home cooks.
