Position: Manufacturing Technician - Six Month Contract

Servomex is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Woburn, MA on a six-month contract
. This role provides full training and the chance to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.

You’ll work alongside our experienced colleagues, contributing directly to the performance and productivity of our specialist processes. We’re looking for someone ready to commit to six months of learning, growing, and making a real impact—we look forward to receiving your application!

Contract: this is a six-month contract working Monday to Friday (40 hours/week).
Regular start time to suit candidate, between 6am and 8am (some flexibility may be needed on occasion).

About the Opportunity

We don’t expect you to know it all—just to be ready to learn.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on existing experience, we’ll provide comprehensive training to help you develop the following skills and thrive in your role:

  • Electronics assembly – Learn to solder, wire, and assemble PCBAs (printed circuit board assemblies), harnesses, and subassemblies
  • Reading schematics & diagrams – Build confidence in following electrical drawings, assembly instructions, and work instructions with diligence and accuracy
  • Use of tools & equipment – Get hands‑on with soldering irons, crimping tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other essential hand tools
  • Testing and inspection – Perform functional checks and basic troubleshooting of electronic modules
  • Component handling – Understand and apply Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions when working with sensitive electronic components and sensors
  • Mechanical assembly – Fit analyzers into housings, mount components, and work with fasteners and fixtures
  • Workplace standards – Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment while ensuring compliance with company policies

  • A genuine motivation to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a production setting
  • Basic understanding of electronics (voltage, current, resistance)
  • Comfort using hand tools and basic test equipment (e.g., screwdrivers, multimeters, soldering irons)
  • Awareness of safe handling practices for electronic components (ESD precautions)
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Hands‑on experience from school projects, internships, apprenticeships, or hobbyist electronics work
  • Familiarity with tasks like assembly, wiring, or soldering
  • Exposure to manufacturing or lab environments through coursework, part‑time jobs, or internships
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following standard operating procedures
  • Eye for detail to complete assembly checklists, build records, and test logs accurately
  • Aptitude to follow procedures – working to ISO 9001 and Servomex‑specific manufacturing processes
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Basic vocational or technical training in electronics, electrical engineering, instrumentation, or manufacturing (a plus - but not essential)
