Senior IT Project Mgr

Position Summary

Under the direction of the ITS Project Management Office, the Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities surrounding major department or organizational projects and initiatives to ensure goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsibilities include operations analysis, feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analysis, development of project work or implementation plans, formation of work groups, management of work group processes aligned with a standard project lifecycle.

The Project Manager will facilitate information flow between project members, management and others. The Project Manager will facilitate and operationalize relationships with external organizations, vendors and other strategic partners. The Project Manager has some managerial level responsibility and decision‑making authority for assigned projects.

Full Time

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Management, or a related field; or the equivalent in work experience. Master’s Degree is a plus. Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.

Requires 7-10 years of work experience, with extensive experience in project management. Prior supervisory experience is a plus. Experience with tools used for project management, business process flow analyses, and installation of enterprise‑wide applications is required; background in healthcare preferred.

• Experience in all phases of project management introducing medium- to large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and conceptual skills.
• Good software and application knowledge with basic knowledge of relevant technologies and experience in software development lifecycle.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office products, including MS Project and Visio.
