Accounts Payable Manager

SDL Search Partners is partnering with a reputable private equity firm in Boston to identify an Accounts Payable Manager to join their growing finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity offering strong visibility and the chance to work within a high-performing investment environment.

This role will play a key leadership role in managing the full-cycle accounts payable process while supervising a team and supporting internal stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced private equity

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment execution
• Manage, mentor, and develop the A/P team to ensure high performance and professional growth
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and audit compliance procedures
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to A/P
• Support cash management and reporting activities
• Partner with internal teams to optimize A/P workflows, drive process efficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 6+ years of accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting best practices
• Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
