Non-Profit & Social Impact
Ready to take on some of the most powerful forces in our society? We’re looking for a foundation relations manager to join a fierce, smart team challenging global corporations, holding them accountable, and creating a world where all people can thrive.
Why you’ll love coming to work every day
You’ll help change the world. You’ll be joining an organization that’s not satisfied with the world as it is -- and has a vision for how it should be. Add a 40-year track record of winning campaigns and ambitious plans to have an even bigger impact, and you’ve got a powerful force to be reckoned with.
You’ll work with awesome people. Join a team of seasoned, kind, determined, optimistic, and solutions-oriented folks. We work hard, celebrate victories large and small, and always have each other’s backs.
You’ll be a part of fearless and winning campaigns. When your mission is ending corporate abuse, you can’t be afraid to name names and keep persevering. For 40 years, we’ve been exposing and challenging the abuses of the likes of Nestlé, Exxon Mobil, Philip Morris International, McDonald’s, Dow Chemical, and more. We don’t back down, and we run campaigns until we win.
You can take on big responsibilities as you go. You’ll thrive here as you develop new skills, tackle new challenges, learn, and grow. We pay lots of attention to building staff leadership, and we provide support and training to help you become the best leader you can be.
You’ll be part of an organization committed to advancing racial equity and transforming systems of oppression. We are deeply committed to prioritizing the leadership of those who bear the brunt of corporate abuse: women, people of color, low-income people, people in the Global South, and LGBTQ folks around the world. Our unique culture has been fostered by a long history of women at the helm.
We know we are stronger when the organization reflects the vision of the world we’re building together.
What you’ll do
In our fifth decade, Corporate Accountability is waging hard-hitting campaigns that compel transnational corporations to stop destroying our health, human rights, democracy, and planet. We’ve grown significantly over the last five years as we’ve taken on the fossil fuel industry, water privatizers, Big Food, and Big Tobacco -- and we’re not slowing down.
To maintain our momentum, we need the resources that fuel our impact. And that’s where you come in.
Our dynamic foundations team partners with some of the most progressive and largest U.S. and international foundations to raise the funds as well as the visibility we need to create transformative societal change. Your job will be to provide critical grants support and coordination to the leadership team -- while also growing your own fundraising skills.
Corporate Accountability’s organizing and fundraising model is rooted in person-to-person relationship building. In this position, you’ll build relationships with a wide range of folks--from foundations staff, to a cross-unit internal team, to Global South allies, and more.
And through it all, you’ll keep essential systems running to make sure we meet our deadlines, produce the best content possible, and build deep, meaningful relationships with all the people we need to keep making a huge impact in the world.
Who you are
- The rampant abuses of corporations and the outrageous amount of power they have make you mad as hell -- and you want to do something about it.
- You understand that changing the imbalance of power in the world, its inherent racial injustice, and the oppression people of color experience is a critical part of your work for justice. You have a commitment to advancing racial equity and transforming systems of oppression.
- You have solid experience managing projects from start to finish, meeting tough deadlines, and managing both up and laterally to get what you need. You appreciate elegant and effective processes, and are passionate about creating and implementing them. It goes without saying that you are highly organized.
- You’re an effective, tenacious communicator -- which means you’re a stellar listener and interact with people from a place of integrity and mutual…
