Job Summary

Under the leadership of the MGB Director of Education, the Senior Manager oversees a wide range of management and operational facets of the MGB Pathology Education office. Duties include management of day‑to‑day operations and personnel, coordination of administrative aspects for up to six clinical fellowship training programs in the Department of Pathology, and continual assessment and development of ongoing education office initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage administrative staff, set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement administrative strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.
  • Establish and enforce administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote efficiency and compliance.
  • Contribute to budget development and management for administrative functions.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor fellows, manage program logistics, scheduling, credentialing and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Fellowship Program Managers, Residency Program Administrators, and the Medical Education Coordinator for cross‑covering and support.
  • Maintain program data repositories and provide timely reporting to faculty and administrative leadership.
  • Develop and monitor education budgets, assist in annual academic year budget preparation, and manage related expenses.
Qualifications

Education
:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration strongly preferred.

Experience
:

  • 5+ years in Graduate Medical Education, Hospital or Healthcare administration preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation requirements and GME program management.

Skills
:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical problem‑solving and time management.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with GME New Innovations, Workday, ERAS, ADS beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.
Requirements

Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to exercise independent and sound judgment in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
