Job SummaryThe Facilities Manager oversees the daily operations, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of 65 East Cottage Street. This role manages the porter team, ensures the building and all equipment are maintained to company standards, and supports culinary, warehouse, and office staff.
Managerial Responsibilities- Reports directly to the General Manager
- Attends weekly meeting with General Manager
- Attends weekly operations meeting
- Supervises, trains, and schedules the Porter Team
- Ensures all porter tasks are completed accurately and timely
- Maintains communication with staff, vendors, and service providers
- Conducts a daily full-building walkthrough to ensure all areas are clean, organized, stocked and free of miscellaneous items.
- Ensures all kitchens, dish rooms, storage areas, offices, meeting spaces, bathrooms and employee areas are properly maintained and event‑ready.
- Oversees cleanliness and proper functioning of all kitchen, pastry, and facility equipment (walk‑ins, ovens, dish machines, mechanical systems, etc.).
- Ensures trash, recycling, and sanitary stations are emptied, lined, and well‑placed throughout the building.
- Maintains exterior areas—including loading dock, parking lot, entrances, and trash area—to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Ensures company vehicles are emptied, cleaned, and parked correctly.
