Full-time | $70,000 salary + performance bonuses

This is not a bartending role with a management title.

We’re seeking a hands-on Hospitality Operations Manager to help run and grow a high-standard, night-time venue. This role is ideal for someone who thinks commercially, values structure and systems, and wants to develop further under the guidance of an experienced owner-operator
.

You’ll be trusted with real responsibility — but you won’t be thrown in the deep end. Clear expectations, established systems, and hands‑on owner support will help set you up for success.

This is a night‑only venue
, operating in the evenings and late nights. The role suits someone whose lifestyle aligns with night trade and who enjoys fast‑paced hospitality environments.

Applicants must have 3–5 years of hospitality management experience
, or transferable management or ownership experience from another industry.
This position is open to permanent residents only
.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the venue
, with a strong focus on leadership, organisation, and commercial performance.

You’ll work closely with the owner during onboarding and ongoing operations, with clear success milestones set for the first 90 days
.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading night shifts with confidence and professionalism
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance
  • Holding current RSA and RMLV
  • Training, mentoring, and developing staff across service, bartending, and sales
  • Delegating tasks and holding team members accountable
  • Managing wages, stock control, waste reduction, and ordering
  • Driving sales through strategy (cocktail of the week, upselling, classes)
  • Understanding rostering, COGS, and how decisions affect profitability
  • Monitoring equipment, fridges, temperatures, and compliance
  • Running the venue independently in the owner’s absence

This role is about optimising performance
, not just running service.
