Utility Person

J&J Worldwide Services is seeking a Utility Person for its Cleaning Services function.

As a Utility Person, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal, ensuring the cleanliness of client and company buildings.

1st & 2nd

• Provide daily cleaning support to high‑traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete a detailed cleaning checklist for each designated area.
• Follow standardized cleaning processes as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in‑service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having limited discretion.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job‑related experience.
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Minimum pay rate: $16.50 per hour. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits including medical, well‑being, financial planning, and short‑term incentive benefits.
