- Provide service to customers by overseeing the technicians accurately repairing light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks, and equipment using special tools and equipment according to Technical Manual procedures
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates as needed.
- Work with Insurance adjusters and/or customers to obtain approvals for repairs
- Provide timely and accurate technical support/information to service office & customers
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work duties
- Communicate problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers, if requested
- Oversee tagging of warranty parts and write warranty stories
- Test drive repaired vehicles
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting, malfunctions on equipment, and repairs
- Distribute repair orders fairly and evenly, matching skillset of technicians
- Review and adjust repair estimates
- Assist with other projects as needed
- 3+ years of experience in a Collision shop
- 3+ years in a leadership role or service writer role
- Customer service and leadership qualities
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications
