Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney (2–5 years of experience) to join the firm’s litigation team in Boston, MA
. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented attorney with solid litigation experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility and contribute to high-quality defense work.
In this role, you will assist with defense matters, including workers’ compensation, third-party claims, and related casualty and liability disputes. You will work closely with senior attorneys to support litigation strategy, client communication, and courtroom preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Support defense of workers’ compensation and insurance-related matters in state and federal proceedings
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, correspondence, and legal analysis
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefs to advance case strategy
- Manage aspects of case files and deadlines effectively
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as appropriate
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case planning
- 2–5 years of insurance defense or related litigation experience
- Strong litigation background with solid research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admitted and in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
