Contracts Paralegal - Boston, MA
We are currently seeking candidates for Contract Paralegal positions with a top-tier investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Contracts Paralegal will draft, review, and negotiate investment management agreements and collaborate closely with Legal teams. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a legal or contracting role within an asset management firm.
This is a 6-month contract position that will pay $42-48/hr (depending on experience). This position supports a hybrid work model, onsite 4 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities- Support contracting and documentation activities, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating investment management agreements, amendments, ancillary documents, RFPs, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Legal team, as well as business development and relationship management partners.
- Collaborate closely with Legal team members to support contracting initiatives and resolve documentation matters.
- Assist with complex documentation issues and help establish appropriate controls, workflows, and processes.
- Support the development and implementation of technology solutions related to contracting, including AI-enabled tools and Microsoft Power Apps.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in legal processes, efficiency, and overall process design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or a related field required.
- 4–5+ years of paralegal experience required.
- Prior experience in financial services is required; asset management experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a legal or contracting role within an asset manager, financial institution, or large corporate environment, including exposure to legal technology applications.
- Law degree is not required for this role.
- Strong interest in legal technology, process design, and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within the Legal team and across the broader organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team-based setting.
