Overview
The Shook IP counseling team is seeking one or more patent preparation and prosecution attorneys in the mechanical arts to work with our exciting roster of brand-name clients from either our Denver or Kansas City office locations. You will work closely with our team to procure patents in the United States and abroad, prepare and prosecute patent applications, draft patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions, support IP diligence efforts, and provide strategic IP business counseling.

- Procure patents in the United States and abroad.
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications.
- Draft patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions.
- Support IP diligence efforts.
- Provide strategic IP business counseling.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys dedicated to professional growth and a supportive environment.
- 4+ years of experience across all stages of patent preparation and prosecution, with a focus on mechanical technologies.
- Member of the USPTO Patent Bar and licensed to practice law in the state where the office is located.
- No portable business is required.

Locations:
Denver or Kansas City offices.
Annualized salary range: $200,000 – $325,000, depending on overall experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded annually.
