A leading Northeast litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Boston civil litigation team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience while working across a broad range of practice areas, including general liability and premises liability defense, medical malpractice and long-term care defense, products liability, professional liability, commercial and business litigation, construction, trucking and vehicular liability, and employment matters.
This role is well-suited for attorneys with at least one year of civil litigation experience who are eager to take on complex legal challenges, develop courtroom skills, and grow within a collaborative and supportive firm environment while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
ResponsibilitiesManage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation strategies.
Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions.
Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, clients, and experts on case strategy.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and developments.
Ensure compliance with deadlines and maintain high standards of advocacy.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.
At least 1 year of civil litigation experience.
Experience practicing in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
Strong advocacy skills, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Proficiency in legal research, discovery, and deposition practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Exposure to a wide range of civil litigation practice areas.
