Mid-sized New England civil litigation law firm seeks individual to join our Paralegal team to aid in the administration and litigation of complex civil litigation cases in its downtown Boston location.
Duties to include assisting paralegal department with scanning, copying, processing incoming documents and outgoing documents as well as assisting attorneys in case management from inception through trial, preparing documents for production, creating and maintaining production and document logs, document review, internet research, obtaining, reviewing and organizing medical records and bills, creating and maintaining exhibit lists.
Preferred candidates will have knowledge of Massachusetts and Federal litigation rules, and experience with Court Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, and e-Filing. 1-3 years litigation experience preferred, however will train the right candidate.
Must be able to work independently and have proven organizational and communication skills as well as proficiency in spelling, grammar, and proofreading. Must be able to handle multiple tasks under deadlines, respond quickly to changing priorities and be willing to travel between offices and courts
. Computer literacy is a must.
This is an “in office” position with some flexibility depending on staff schedules. There will be some flexibility, but expectation is to be in Boston office at least 4 days a week after training period.
