Job SummaryWe are seeking a junior-level Associate to join our Corporate & Finance practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with foundational experience in mergers and acquisitions who is ready to take on increasing responsibility within active deal teams. The associate will support a wide range of corporate transactions while developing strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working both collaboratively and independently on discrete aspects of transactions.
Responsibilities- Support mergers and acquisitions transactions from initial diligence through closing
- Conduct and manage legal due diligence reviews and summarize findings for deal teams
- Draft and revise ancillary transaction documents, schedules, and closing deliverables
- Maintain and manage deal checklists and transaction timelines
Coordinate with internal teams, opposing counsel, and clients on transaction matters - Assist with drafting and negotiating transaction-related agreements
- Support partners and senior associates on strategic and execution-focused deal tasks
- 2+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions within a law firm setting
- Demonstrated experience conducting due diligence and drafting transaction documents
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a deal-driven environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to independently manage assigned work streams
- Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed in the applicable jurisdiction
- Ability to provide academic transcripts and writing sample are required
- Competitive salary range of $225,000–$235,000 depending on experience
