Overview
Summary: Griffin Law LLC is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Real Estate Paralegal/Office Administrator to assist attorneys in the Real Estate Department of our Boston office with all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Responsibilities- Assist Attorneys on a daily basis
- Work closely with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, and clients to ensure timely, accurate closings
- Work closely with attorneys in pre- and post-closing matters
- Order and review title abstracts, surveys and tax certificates
- Calendar critical dates for transactions
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files
- Prepare document packages for closing
- Draft closing documents, POA’s, consents, certificates, closing statements, and attend to all other aspects of real estate transactions
- Following the closing, maintain schedule of post-closing items and track mortgage discharges
- Contacts clients and other transaction parties to facilitate the timely completion of the closing
- Completion of a B.A./B.S. degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience with real estate closings –
this is mandatory; please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
- Familiarity with Qualia software is required.
- Familiarity with Net Docs and Clio is preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, complex documents, correspondence and memos. Ability to draft correspondence and to effectively present information in various situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills:
Demonstrates effective teamwork, communication and prioritizes and anticipates work needs. Must be able to work well under occasional periods of pressure and short deadlines. - Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when evaluating legal matters.
- Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, or spelling errors.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients and attorneys
- Work requires a high level of focus and mental alertness while organizing and maintaining multiple matters.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience); 401(k); health and dental insurance
