Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Paralegal to support our intellectual property (IP) practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in IP docketing (U.S. and foreign), a solid understanding of USPTO and WIPO procedures, and a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update IP docketing systems for U.S. and foreign patent and trademark matters.
  • Monitor, calendar, and track deadlines for filings, responses, renewals, and other critical dates.
  • Prepare and process electronic filings with the USPTO, including new applications, responses, and maintenance documents.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with the preparation and submission of WIPO filings and related correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with USPTO, WIPO, and firm procedures for all filing and prosecution activities.
  • Review incoming correspondence and official communications to update docket records and distribute documents as needed.
  • Generate reports and reminders for attorneys and clients.
  • Provide general administrative and paralegal support to the IP team as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of IP docketing experience, including both U.S. and foreign matters.
  • Solid knowledge of USPTO and WIPO filing and prosecution procedures.
  • Hands‑on experience with USPTO electronic filing systems (e.g., Patent Center, TEAS).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with docketing software (e.g., CPI, Foundation IP, Anaqua, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
  • Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
