Overview
We're looking for a hybrid Web Designer / Developer with strong skills in Figma, Word Press (Gutenberg), and modern front-end development. This role owns both the UX/UI design and the implementation of reusable, scalable components that support a high-performing marketing website. You'll shape our design system, build the Word Press experience, and collaborate across teams to deliver accessible, fast, brand-aligned digital experiences.
Development (Word Press)
- Build a reusable block/component library in Word Press Gutenberg, aligned with the Figma design system.
- Implement block patterns, templates, and style variants to support rapid page creation.
- Develop clean, maintainable PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for themes/child themes.
- Ensure WCAG-compliant accessibility including semantic structure, keyboard navigation, and appropriate ARIA usage.
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) including images, fonts, and front-end payload.
- Apply SEO best practices (metadata, schema, sitemaps, canonicalization) and collaborate on technical SEO.
- Implement analytics hooks (GA4/GTM) for core interactions and support A/B test integrations.
- Document the Word Press component library (usage guidelines, examples, accessibility notes).
- Design page layouts, UI components, and responsive patterns optimized for marketing use cases.
- Produce developer-ready assets and conduct structured handoff between design build.
- Ensure consistency across Figma and Word Press through shared components and documentation.
- Collaborate on UX audits and propose improvements via wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns.
- Partner with content, demand-gen, and engineering/IT teams to align on requirements and deployment timelines.
- Build an intuitive, guardrail-driven editor experience for non-technical CMS users.
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of enhancements based on analytics, heatmaps, and user feedback.
- Support cross-functional planning and contribute to continuous iterations of the website.
- A reusable, brand-aligned Gutenberg component library.
- Page templates and layouts supporting key marketing flows.
- Figma design system artifacts (tokens, components, documentation).
- Documentation for editors and developers.
- A production-ready Word Press implementation meeting performance, accessibility, and SEO standards.
- Strong marketing website UX expertise: hierarchy, storytelling, conversion patterns, CTAs, forms, trust indicators.
- Advanced Figma skills (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems).
- Strong Word Press experience, including Gutenberg/block editor and custom theme development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS (responsive), and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of PHP and Word Press templating.
- Experience with reusable component systems (design + implementation).
- Strong understanding of accessibility and performance optimization.
- Portfolio showing both digital design and shipped front-end execution.
- Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks (React-based).
- Familiarity with ACF, custom post types, and Word Press build tooling.
- Experience with Tailwind, Sass, or component-driven CSS approaches.
- Knowledge of Webpack/Vite, linting, CI/CD pipelines, and modern dev tooling.
- Experience with GA4, GTM, Optimizely/VWO, or other analytics/experimentation tools.
- Exposure to headless Word Press or modern WP frameworks (optional).
