Position Title:
Desktop Support Technician
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr.
Description:
Service Point has a customer seeking a Desktop Support Technician to work 32 hours per week 8AM-5PM with the days being Monday-Thursday but some flexibility at times will be required. This is for a period of 6 months s is located in two locations supporting (2) end clients in Boston, MA.
- Implementing, maintaining, and administering end user computer devices and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
- Duties will include troubleshooting and repair of Windows, Mac OS's, Office
365 and MS Office Suite products including Outlook email and calendar issues, a variety of 3rd party software applications, hardware issues, laptop parts replacement, Apple iOS devices support, imaging, data wiping, asset control, and detailed ticket documentation. - New hire deployments, PC refresh deployments, phones and A/V meeting support, are also part of weekly duties.
- Using innovative methods and technologies to identify and solve problems related to performance, reliability, and availability of systems
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing system security measures such as AV, backups, and patching
- Maintain installed PCs, networks, telephone systems, and peripherals with routine maintenance
- Identify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems
- Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation
- Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with guidelines
- The environment is Windows 10/11 with the hardware being standard Desktops, Laptops, (3 Users that use MAC), O365 and standard printers.
- 3 years professional experience
- Software troubleshooting background on Windows 10/11
- 0365 installation and troubleshooting background
- Some MAC background required
- AV Installation and troubleshooting background required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
