Your role and responsibilities

As a Master’s Student (Working Student / Intern) in Technology & Software Innovation within IBM Expert Labs Software, you will contribute to client‑facing initiatives that showcase IBM’s cutting‑edge software solutions. Working alongside experienced sales and technical specialists, you will help support digital transformation projects, gain hands‑on experience with real clients, and develop skills in software industry practices, solution communication, and strategic analysis.

This role is ideal for students who want to deepen their understanding of modern software landscapes while actively contributing to impactful client engagements.

Client & Project Support
  • Assist in preparing client presentations, value propositions, and meeting materials.
  • Support the team in understanding client needs through research and data analysis.
  • Participate in client calls and workshops alongside senior colleagues to observe and learn about enterprise software engagements.
Research & Opportunity Development
  • Conduct research on digital transformation trends, competitors, and market developments.
  • Help identify potential opportunities through data gathering and internal collaboration.
  • Support qualification activities by analyzing client environments and business challenges.
Sales Process Assistance
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, demos, and solution documentation.
  • Work with cross‑functional IBM teams to help coordinate campaigns and pipeline activities.
  • Assist in tracking and documenting the sales cycle steps to ensure smooth execution.
Ecosystem Collaboration
  • Collaborate with IBM sales, marketing, and technical teams to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Help organize or co‑create internal materials, playbooks, and campaign assets.
  • Engage in knowledge‑sharing forums to learn best practices directly from experts.
Required education

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to present findings or research.
  • Interest in digital transformation and modern software technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks such as research, documentation, or analysis.

  • Basic understanding of the software industry or enterprise IT concepts (training will be provided).
  • Initial experience from student projects, internships, or coursework related to IT, business, or data.
