-month onsite contract to hire role. In this position, the consultant will provide hands-on technical expertise and system administration for investment, operations, and compliance teams. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in hybrid Microsoft cloud identity, Azure configurations, and enterprise endpoint administration. The team is small, so this person needs to be able to collaborate well. This critical role requires seamless coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve desktop, mobile, and AV issues promptly.
To be successful, the consultant must be comfortable working in the office five days a week and remain available for 24/7/365 on-call support for urgent system needs.
The consultant will lead Azure AD Hybrid administration, focusing on MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, and directory synchronization (Azure AD Connect). The consultant will also oversee Microsoft Intune (Autopilot, MDM, compliance) and enterprise desktop administration, including imaging and OS deployment. The engineer will be responsible for managing Windows Server, virtualization platforms, and the M365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Copilot), ensuring tenant hygiene and data governance.
The consultant will operate Microsoft Sentinel for incident investigation and manage patching via Windows Update for Business and Autopatch. They will also be responsible for providing comprehensive Level 1-3 hands-on support for desktops, mobile devices, and core infrastructure.
Required Skills
- 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years managing 24/7/365 enterprise environments.
- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
- Expert-level administration of M365, Intune, Azure AD Hybrid, Conditional Access, and M365 compliance/security tools (DLP, SSO, Zero Trust).
- Strong proficiency in VMware Essentials/Horizon, Active Directory/GPO, and SCCM for imaging and application deployment.
- Extensive Power Shell scripting for workflow orchestration and advanced experience in automated patch management and compliance reporting.
- Proven Level 3 on-site and remote troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of fundamental network concepts.
- Must be able to handle after hours emergency incidents if needed
Skills:
- Industry technical certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware
- Experience tracking and resolving tickets via Service Now
- Proficiency with SQL and shell scripting
- Proficiency with Windows 11

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $51.75 - $81.25 per hour
The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
