We are seeking a Product Manager - Data Platform to own our data platform evolution as we scale transmission optimization solutions for Fortune 500 utilities. • Own the product roadmap for Line Vision's data platform, balancing cloud and on-premise deployment strategies to meet diverse utility customer requirements
• Drive product development decisions for data architecture, collaborating with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, SRE, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions
• Define and track success metrics for the data platform through data-driven research and customer insights
• Navigate utility customer security review processes, translating complex operational needs and IT constraints into technical requirements and user stories
• Lead security and compliance considerations throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring platform architecture meets utility requirements for on-premise deployment and CEII handling protocols

• Complete discovery with utility customers to document on-premise deployment requirements, IT constraints, security protocols, and compliance needs
• Partner with Data Engineering and Platform Engineering teams to finalize technical architecture and requirements for containerized on-premise deployment
• Establish success metrics and reporting framework for data platform initiatives, providing regular updates to VP of Product and engineering leadership

• Deliver containerized deployment architecture supporting both cloud and on-premise models with feature parity roadmap
• Launch beta on-premise deployment at initial customer site, coordinating cross-functionally on implementation
• Complete security review processes with at least two utility customers, establishing repeatable patterns for procurement and compliance conversations

• Achieve production on-premise deployments meeting customer deadlines and commitments
• Drive data pipeline efficiency improvements supporting future product capabilities and scale requirements
• Build trusted relationships with customer IT and operations teams, establishing Line Vision as a strategic partner in their grid modernization initiatives

• Critical Thinking - Analyze data infrastructure problems independently and propose solutions. Demonstrate curiosity in exploring new approaches.
• Stakeholder Management - Navigate complex utility customer environments, managing relationships with IT teams, operations stakeholders, and procurement organizations. Provide clear, concise updates appropriate for diverse audiences.
• Judgment & Decision Making - Make informed product decisions balancing technical trade-offs, customer requirements, security constraints, and business priorities. Understand how architecture choices cascade through deployment models, customer operations, and long-term platform capabilities.
• Follow Through - Execution - Deliver quality products on time despite competing priorities and technical complexity. Hold self and teams accountable to milestones.

• 3-5 years of product management experience with accountability for driving engineering progress on small to mid-sized products
• Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, and data modeling with experience working with large volumes of real-time time-series data in production environments
