Manager SAP Profitability and Performance Management; PaPM

x1F North America is located in the US (Boston, MA) as well as Canada, (Toronto, ON) and is an SAP / SAP Fioneer service and application partner for the financial service industry. We are a 100% subsidiary of x1F, a leading management consulting group with about 1,400 employees, headquartered in Germany. Our clients are North American and globally represented insurance companies, banks and further financial institutions as well as large corporates.

• Leadership: manage PaPM work streams and teams as part of full lifecycle / E2E implementations, coach and develop junior consultants, and ensure project targets are met on time with high quality
• Sales & Business development: support proposals and sales effort, contribute to business development, and help expand x1F’s North American PaPM service offering
• Design:
  Define and optimize SAP PaPM models tailored to the financial services industry
• Develop:
  Create calculation logic, data flows, allocation rules, and reporting structures
• Integrate:
  Connect PaPM models with SAP and non-SAP systems such as S/4
  
  HANA, BW/4
  
  HANA, FPSL, or third-party solutions
• Translate:
  Turn regulatory and business requirements into technical modelling solutions that work in practice
• Collaborate:
  Work closely with business stakeholders, consultants, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Guide:
  Share your knowledge, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to best practices and reusable assets
• Ensure:
  Safeguard data accuracy, model performance, and scalability through testing and continuous improvement
• Support:
  Take part in workshops, go-live phases, hypercare, and ongoing optimization

• Experience:
  
  6+ years of managerial and hands-on expertise in SAP PaPM modelling and development including data integration, data enrichment, allocations and calculations, and outbound integration / write back functions (e.g., posting to S/4
  
  HANA GL)
• PaPM Deployment Model: exposure to both SAP PaPM on-premise and cloud version
• Industry know-how:
  Solid track record in the financial services sector (banking or insurance), covering topics such as profitability analysis, funds transfer pricing, cost allocations, liquidity or operational transfer pricing
• Finance knowledge:
  Strong understanding of finance and risk processes in banking and (re-)insurance
• Technical skills:
  Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and performance tuning within SAP PaPM; experience with integration to SAP S/4
  
  HANA, SAP BW/4
  
  HANA, or SAP Fioneer FS-CD and other SAP and non-SAP data sources
• Consulting skills:
  Strong in requirement gathering, solution design, and stakeholder management
• Communication:
  Clear in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audience
• Languages:
  
  Fluent English required;
  German is a plus
• Education:
  
  Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• Other: familiarity with Agile/Waterfall project methods
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 20% in average)
• Located in North America (USA, Canada) with respective working permission and residence status
