Position: eDiscovery Practice Support Project Manager

Overview

Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Practice Support Project Manager to lead end-to-end eDiscovery efforts from collection through production. This hybrid role is based in Boston (two days in-office per week) with flexibility for candidates located in New York. The role partners closely with attorneys and case teams to develop discovery plans and budgets, manage vendors, and provide hands-on litigation technology support, including Relativity One workspace administration, quality control, and Technology Assisted Review workflows.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Relativity One expertise, strong client-facing communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Please do not apply if you do not have eDiscovery experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage both small and complex eDiscovery matters from early-stage data intake through final production deliverables
  • Advise internal stakeholders on discovery strategy, including building workflows, timelines, and cost estimates
  • Serve as a hands-on resource to attorneys and case teams by providing guidance on discovery technology and best practices
  • Build, configure, and support review environments, including quality control processes and database optimization
  • Partner with legal teams on Technology Assisted Review initiatives leveraging Relativity review and analytics tools
  • Oversee vendor coordination and provide direction around discovery-related service providers and deliverables
  • Help define, recommend, and roll out standards and playbooks for litigation technology processes and AI-enabled solutions
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry trends and emerging tools
  • Collaborate with IT to evaluate and recommend technology solutions that support litigation and discovery operations
  • Deliver training and enablement to case teams, including how to use tools effectively and how to apply discovery workflows
  • Provide coverage for other litigation support team members as needed
  • Support leadership in evaluating and implementing innovative AI capabilities across practice areas
JOB DUTIES / TECHNICAL
  • Process and manage data using Relativity One
  • Maintain review work spaces and related database components from both an administrative and end-user perspective
  • Provide case and transcript support using platforms such as Relativity One, Opus2, Time Coder Pro, or comparable tools
  • Conduct or coordinate collections across email, cloud content, mobile devices, and social platforms using industry-standard collection tools (e.g., Purview, Relativity Collect, Page Vault, iExplorer, or equivalents)
  • Maintain detailed documentation including tracking logs and defensible chain of custody records
  • Support hearings and trial preparation using Trial Director or similar courtroom technology tools
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Several years of relevant experience in a law firm, legal services provider, or comparable environment
  • Advanced knowledge of litigation support workflows including discovery operations, evidence management, imaging, and database-driven review
  • Relativity certifications (RCA or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • High proficiency with common legal and productivity tools including Microsoft Office, PDF software, document management systems, and database administration concepts
ADDITIONAL SKILLS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Strong working knowledge of AI tools and how they can be applied to legal workflows
  • Familiarity with discovery-related legal standards and evolving case law considerations
  • Experience supporting document review efforts and litigation case support using Relativity or similar platforms
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to context and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment in client-facing situations
  • Able to work independently while also delegating effectively to meet deadlines across multiple matters
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-driven, proactive, and accountable
  • Collaborative team mindset with the ability to work across departments and practice groups
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
  • Able to adapt to shifting priorities, urgent requests, and overtime requirements

Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $85,000 - $112,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
