Cloud Security Architect

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Security Architect in Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Security Architect will lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures across AWS and Azure platforms
• Serve as a trusted security partner to business, IT, and application teams, aligning cloud security initiatives with organizational goals and risk tolerance
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies based on security posture, compliance needs, and architectural fit
• Establish and maintain standardized cloud security design patterns to mitigate risk and ensure alignment with industry frameworks
• Support cloud application migrations by providing security architecture guidance and design oversight
• Conduct security risk assessments and compliance reviews against frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls
• Integrate security into Dev Ops pipelines, manage vulnerabilities, enforce application security controls, and assist with incident response
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring emerging threats and defining security maturity and enhancement roadmaps

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of cloud security architecture experience with hands‑on AWS and Azure expertise
• Strong knowledge of cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and security frameworks
• Experience designing secure solutions, evaluating cloud services, and developing security patterns
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architecture and Dev Ops

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
