Role OverviewMaitsys is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives, including cloud migrations and data center relocations. This role requires hands-on project leadership, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams in a hybrid work environment.
The ideal candidate has successfully delivered infrastructure transformation projects and is comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including:
- Cloud migration initiatives (Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments)
- Data center moves, consolidations, and decommissioning
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, security, application, and vendor teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Manage dependencies across multiple work streams and ensure on-time delivery
- Oversee change management, cutover planning, and post-migration stabilization
- Track milestones, KPIs, and deliverables; provide regular status reporting to leadership
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and blockers proactively
- Ensure projects follow best practices for security, compliance, and governance
- Support pre-sales activities as needed, including project scoping and estimation
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure project management
- Proven experience leading Cloud Migration projects (Azure, AWS, or hybrid)
- Hands‑on experience managing Data Center Moves (physical or virtual)
- Strong understanding of:
- Cloud infrastructure and migration frameworks
- Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid model from the Boston, MA area
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, and modern infrastructure tools
- Exposure to security, identity, and compliance considerations during migrations
- Experience working in consulting or professional services environments
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models
