SCOPE OF WORK

We are seeking a reliable freelance Audio Technician to support a small, time-sensitive morning conference with simultaneous interpreting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

A. Equipment setup and teardown

• Early morning setup and testing of interpreting equipment
• Teardown and equipment packing immediately after the event

B. On-site technical support during the event (7:00am–9:00am)

• Remain on-site throughout the interpreting hours
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed
• Coordinate on-site logistics with interpreters and client representatives as needed

C. Device management

• Pick up interpreting equipment from the designated rental location prior to the event day
• Test receivers, transmitters, and related devices before the event
• Distribute and collect receivers during the event
• Pack equipment after the event and return all equipment to the rental location as instructed

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience with simultaneous interpreting equipment, including Tabletop booth, Interpreter console, Transmitter and receivers (FM technology).
• Experience supporting live conferences or corporate events
• Strong punctuality and reliability (as this is a time-sensitive live event)
• Ability to work independently and follow clear technical instructions
• Late arrival is not acceptable due to the nature of the event.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• This is a short, well-defined freelance engagement
• All client communication and contracting are handled by Intrafy
• Exact equipment list and call time will be confirmed upon selection

COMPENSATION

• Hourly rate: $65–$75/hour, based on experience
• Minimum hours guaranteed.
