Consultant - Quant + Software Engineering

Full Stack Engineer (UI / Product-Focused) - Boston, MA

We’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing quantitative research team and help build the internal tools and platforms used daily by researchers, engineers, and portfolio managers.

This role is UI- and product-first
. We’re looking for engineers who care deeply about usability, workflow design, and ownership
, and who enjoy building tools that make expert users faster and more effective.

This is not a traditional backend-heavy engineering role. Strong candidates often come from early-stage startups, new product teams, or environments where engineers own product decisions end-to-end
.

What You’ll Do:

• Own product features end-to-end, from UX design and user discovery through to production delivery
• Design and build modern, intuitive web interfaces for internal research and analytics tools
• Work closely with researchers and power users to understand workflows and translate them into high-impact product solutions
• Create wireframes, mockups, and user flows, then turn them into polished, production-ready interfaces
• Build and maintain backend APIs to support front-end applications (depth here is helpful but not mandatory)
• Continuously iterate on usability, performance, and overall user experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Engineers with strong UI/UX and product sensibility
• Clear examples of owning product decisions
  , not just implementing tickets
• Experience designing and shipping multiple user-facing interfaces
• A focus on building tools that improve user productivity
• Startup founder or early-employee experience is a plus
• Open to exceptional UX-leaning engineers
  , even if backend or infra experience is lighter

Technical Environment:

• Frontend:
  React, Next.js, Type Script
• UX / Design:
  Figma or similar tools
