Position: Predictive Modeler (Hybrid)

Join our Corporate Actuarial team based in Plymouth, MN or Boston, MA on a hybrid schedule. The role advances the company’s predictive modeling and machine learning function for all business units through model training, evaluation, findings delivery, and implementation support.

Responsibilities
  • Train and evaluate the performance of machine learning models to support key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build training and evaluation data sets, including applying AI tools to extract features from semi‑structured and unstructured data.
  • Communicate results and findings to stakeholder groups and incorporate their feedback into model design when appropriate.
  • Partner with IT to implement machine learning models into production.
  • Work with business intelligence analysts to design and implement monitoring tools for deployed solutions.
  • Document the data, methods, assumptions, and outcomes for projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Prior work experience in data science, machine learning, or actuarial science (property and casualty insurance experience is a plus).
  • Strong coding skills in common data science languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with Spark, Databricks, or cluster computing is a plus.
