Hyperice is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to own the day to day execution, upkeep, and follow through of our core technology systems. This role focuses on infrastructure reliability, operational discipline, and keeping systems organized and healthy over time.

We are a small IT team. Some weeks involve large, multi month projects that require patience and steady progress. Other weeks involve detailed operational work that may feel repetitive or unglamorous. Everyone on the team does what needs to be done to keep the business running well.

This role includes hands on operational work that may feel basic at times, including inventory upkeep, documentation, hardware handling, and recurring checks. This work is essential to keeping the environment stable and is a shared responsibility on a small team.

This position is not a helpdesk role and does not include people management.

• Maintain and audit physical and virtual hardware inventory
• Ensure Windows servers are activated, patched, and monitored
• Troubleshoot network performance across offices
• Maintain VPN tunnels, firewall rules, and AWS connectivity
• Verify backups and perform scheduled restore testing

• Support systems and workloads running in AWS
• Execute ERP maintenance tasks and data hygiene projects
• Monitor scheduled jobs, integrations, and system health
• Investigate and resolve system failures and performance issues
• Learn and support new platforms as needed

• Partner with departments to identify practical AI use cases
• Roll out AI tools or workflows to solve specific business problems
• Maintain and iterate on AI solutions as needs evolve

• Execute PCI related operational tasks and evidence collection
• Run quarterly internal vulnerability scans and track remediation
• Perform access reviews and verify user offboarding
• Participate in incident response plan testing and documentation

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual IT checklists
• Follow defined processes on a regular schedule
• Track task completion and evidence in Confluence
• Keep systems from drifting into disorganization through consistent attention to detail

• Act as the primary internal point of contact with our managed service provider
• Collaborate closely with the MSP on infrastructure, security, and support tasks
• Validate completed work through testing and documentation
• Escalate issues with clear logs, timelines, and impact summaries

• Occasionally support end users when time sensitive hardware issues arise
• Procure, configure, and deploy laptops or peripherals as needed
• Take a practical approach to restoring productivity quickly

• 5 to 8 years experience in systems administration or IT operations
• Experience with Active Directory and access management
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, VPNs, and firewalls
• Hands on experience supporting AWS environments
• Experience with backup systems and disaster recovery testing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute defined processes consistently
• Comfortable balancing project work with recurring operational tasks

• Experience supporting ERP systems in an operations focused environment
• PCI compliance execution experience
• Familiarity with AI tools or workflow automation
• Experience working alongside a managed service provider
• Background in audit driven or regulated environments

• Systems remain organized and predictable over time
• Recurring IT tasks are completed on schedule and documented
• Infrastructure issues are identified early and addressed
• MSP collaboration is effective and well coordinated
• The IT team operates with less burnout and better focus
