The Role

This role sits within a quantitative research environment where high-quality data is foundational to every investment decision.

You’ll be responsible for the reliability, transparency, and usability of research data across multiple asset classes. The work is hands-on and detail-driven, but also highly visible — your output directly impacts how researchers and portfolio teams build and test investment ideas.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning data quality end to end and wants to sit close to the investment process rather than in a pure support function.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Monitoring research data feeds and identifying anomalies or breaks
  • Investigating and resolving data quality issues at the source
  • Building and maintaining data quality controls and validation checks
  • Onboarding new datasets and integrating them into existing pipelines
  • Developing deep expertise across market, reference, fundamental, and macro data
  • Partnering with research and investment teams to support data needs
  • Working with data engineers to improve pipelines and monitoring
  • Documenting datasets, processes, and usage for wider transparency
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to support critical data processing
What They’re Looking For
  • Experience working with financial or market data in an investment or data-driven environment
  • Strong Python and SQL skills for data analysis and automation
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and workflow orchestration
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance concepts
  • Comfortable working across multiple asset classes and datasets
  • High attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly
Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline
  • Several years of relevant experience in data, analytics, or research support roles
  • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term, data-focused career

Experience with cloud-based data platforms, large-scale processing, or anomaly detection techniques is a plus.

Why This Role
  • Data quality is taken seriously and treated as a core investment input
  • Direct interaction with researchers and portfolio teams
  • Ownership over datasets used in live research and strategies
  • Hybrid working with a focused, collaborative culture
