DevOps Architect

Role

Our client, Nityo Infotech Corporation, is seeking a Dev Ops Architect responsible for providing technical direction and oversight of application engineering/Dev Ops practices across scrum teams within a program. Dev Ops Architect works closely with Program Architects and Application Architects to understand business needs and provide strategic and tactical directions for specific initiatives. The role promotes a Dev Ops culture by applying an agile mindset, modern Dev Ops tools, and by driving innovation, reusability, stability, scalability, and consistency across programs.

• Identifies and provides oversight of the technical solutions for Source Control, Build and Deployment automation, Continuous Integration, and Environment Monitoring.
• Develops and evangelizes best practices for Dev Ops & CI/CD, API Management, and Networking.
• Provides technical direction for scrum teams for specific initiatives and assists with initial proof of concepts and template builds.
• Participates in technology/architecture and design discussions, and designs automation templates for infrastructure provisioning, configuration & change management, and develops detailed technical designs.
• Leads research on new tools/technology solutions/processes, builds consensus, and plans to introduce cost‑justifiable technology to improve the SDLC pipeline.
• Continually finds ways to optimize and build out a comprehensive architecture/strategy for supporting applications in production.
• Builds, machine configuration, test infrastructure, and virtual machine deployment.
• Provides Level‑3 support for the production environment.

• Minimum of 10+ years of hands‑on experience as a Dev Ops/Build/Deployment and Engineering & Operations professional.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and related tools.
• Hands‑on experience in production environments, both deploying and troubleshooting applications in Windows/Linux.
• Strong experience automating with scripting languages such as Power Shell, Python and any deployment scripting languages.
• Strong experience with CI/CD deployment supporting Microsoft technologies (IIS, Team Foundation Server / VSTS, Git/Pro Git, Octopus Deploy and Team City preferred).
• Highly proficient in configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Chef or similar).
• Excellent understanding of containerization, Docker & Kubernetes.
• Excellent understanding of micro‑services architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye toward scale, automation, resiliency, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Excellent understanding of networking, load balancing, caching, security, config and certificate management.
• Experience with Consul and NGINX.
• Experience with Redis.
• Experience with larger enterprise suites such as BPM, CRM, portals, content management preferred.
