The TeamA&M’s PEPI practice focuses on upper‑middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms. Our services include merger integration & carve‑outs, IT pre‑acquisition diligence, IT post‑acquisition implementation, interim management, commercial due diligence, rapid results, supply chain, and CFO services.
Role OverviewAs a Manager, you will lead software product and technology due diligence engagements for private equity clients. Your work will span pre‑acquisition, sell‑side, synergy, and post‑acquisition assessments, delivering actionable insights that create value and improve performance.
How You Will ContributeYou will work with a team to perform in‑depth software and technology reviews, covering product features, architecture, IP, R&D processes, and infrastructure. You will interface with clients, manage data requests, analyze findings, and produce client‑ready deliverables.
Manager Responsibilities- Participate in key client interactions, including interviews, interim updates, and final readouts.
- Develop and manage data request lists, coordinating with bankers and clients.
- Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis across all assessment areas.
- Summarize insights into client‑ready exhibits and deliverables.
- Ensure deliverable quality and maintain strong day‑to‑day relationships.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
- 5–8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience; minimum five years in tech consulting or software/tech‑enabled services product management.
- Desired: experience with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or due‑diligence engagements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive‑level client materials.
- Track record working with business leaders and private equity deal staff.
- Strong analytical and fact‑gathering skills.
- Experience in a software organization or comparable advisory firm.
- Ability to translate technical insights into commercial implications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a rigorous analytical field.
- Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time.

Benefits SummaryFull‑time positions (30+ hours) include healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life & disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (pro‑rated for part‑time), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. Additional discretional 401(k) contributions and a bonus program are available.
Salary range: $125,000 – $190,000 annually, based on education, experience, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program tied to individual and firm performance.
